As a kid growing up on the East End of Long Island, I never knew what my future held. I knew my parents wanted me to attend a university, though professionally I had no idea what I wanted to do or the direction I wanted to take my life.

 

This all changed when I came into my first hands-on journalism class while attending the University of New Hampshire. My professor greeted us on the first day by telling us to grab our notebooks, get out, and find a story. This is the moment I fell in love with journalism.

During this first class, the courses that followed over my four years at UNH, and my experiences in the world of writing and editing; I have found that my passion lies within speaking to people, hearing their stories, digging up information, and telling their stories to the rest of the world in a concise and thoughtful manner.

 

To me, being a writer means that I am the person who can give a voice to those who may not always be heard and tell a story that many may never hear. Whether it be a start-up company, a well-known fashion house bringing innovation to the table, or even a person just telling about their career trajectory, I treat each and every story that I write with the compassion and interest that I would hope someone would give to me if I were in their position.

As a content creator at heart, I have recently taken the leap into the podcast industry as an editorial consultant. Being hungry to always learn new things, I am using my past experiences in the writing world to continue my successes in the audio space. Maintaining world-class standards for my content, I now have the opportunity to curate questions for and tell the stories of some of the most interesting and successful content creators on the web.
